College Workstation Build - Page 2

the handles are a bonus, its a great case with a massive thread about it, and thats a great deal on it. Better HDD that is cheaper too, use coupon code for $5 off too

edit: I like this combo. Great case and great PSU for a great price. Yes, the psu is slightly lower quality than the X650 seasonic but the xfx is still very good, just a bit ugly

edit2:do NOT buy that cooler from newegg, they used to sell it for $25-$30. way overpriced now

Thread Starter
Thanks for pointing out that heat sink was overpriced on newegg. I switched over to buying from amazon.

I recommend a mushkin deluxe ssd over the crucial. Sandforce controller.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-151-_-Product

I sent you a PM.

Alternative to AMD:
i7 930: $230 shipped from micro center
Motherboard: $80 http://www.evga.com/products/prodlist.asp?switch=20
RAM: any 3GB kit on the egg: about $120

I strongly recommend getting the i7 build.

You might wanna consider mATX too. Its a good option since you're not crossfiring. You get a smaller computer overall so easier to carry and lighter in weight.
