P4P800-E Deluxe help

Thread Starter
hello,

I am new to the game. I have a HP M480n and i am tired of the P4sd-la mobo. I have purchased everything that my profile indicates below. I am ready to transfer my equip to the new mobo I even have the arctic 5 silver and chip cleaner.

My main concern is the OEM copy of Windows MCE (kept on a partition of the original HD) that I have.
1) Can I transfer it?
2) Do I need to? (Is this just a change it all over and go process?)
3) What is the best way to go about this?

I am looking for specific help as it is my first time. The mobo manual is great. I am just looking to completing this first step before I move on into true oc-landia.

Also, should I get a sata drive? Can I use it as an OS drive to get speedier performance?

yes you can use a sata drive as your primary os drive and yes it will be faster I.M.O. i would just get a new copy of mce by what ever means you feel is best and do a 100 percent fresh install chances are you have a lot of worthless hp crap installed on that drive..
