I dont see why you wouldnt be able to get the HTT to 240 or 250. Set you HT frequency to x4 and put your memeory on a 166/333 in the bios and go from there pushing the FSB up by 5 each time. There are alot of FAQs on this site listed as you first log in. Give me a try and just be patient with it and you will be pleased.

The fact that your htt isnt above or near 225 negates the need to change the mulitplier. If you are over 250 make sure your multiplier is at 3x and for 225 set at 4x. This calculates the fsb. The stable range is anywhere from 800 to 1000. As a general rule of thumb stay above 800 and below 1000. In certain instances you can go above 1000, but it is entirely dependant on the system itself. The multiplier should be somewhere near the dram settings or cpu settings. Im not too familiar with your motherboard so just search around or consult your manual.

Its cool we've all been there hehe. It usually will be something like HT frequency or HTT. It will have the options of changing it to x1 to x5. x4 is where you need to be. Give that a shot look all aorund you bios to get acquainted with it. GL

On gigabyte boards, you need to hit a little set of keys in order to unlock the BIOS for proper overclocking. Other than that, the others are saying what is probably the problem.

Cool, I didn't know that. I think my mobo is alot diff or something than other and I end up confusing them. You learn something new everyday (Or hundreds of new things)
