Thread Starter
Well they're here, 2GB DDR2 667, Asus P5WD2-E Premium and of course my Pentium D 930 Presler before I installed XP I tested some overclocks and it 'booted' ('' because there wasnt an OS installed but it got bast POST) at 4GHz I cant wait until my files finish copying from my hard drive, then I'll be ready to overclock this thing to high heaven.

Nice, I think you will be able to get that to around 4.3 or 4.4 with the Big Typoon. You should have gotten DDR2-800 though.

4GHz, stock volts, no sweat....33s Super PI 1M time....pic uploading showing it all, also the RAM at 4GHz is exactly DDR2 533 in a 1:1 and its good up to DDR2 667 (I doubt I'll hit a 333FSB )

4.21GHz and DDR2 580 Super PI completed in 31 seconds.

To get to 4.2 I needed 1.4v (dont know if it will do it at any less, I tried stock and it failed, jumped up to 1.4 and its running rock solid.

Alright its official, this CPU @ 4.21 with my GPU is just stupid fast, BF2 at 1280x1024 with 4xaa and all high settings never came out of 100FPS LOL, the lowest I saw it dip to was 98.......I backed down to 4.13 because then I'd have a perfect DDR2 550 with an 1100MHz FSB which is pretty sweet. Max temp during my BF2 game time was 57.5c which is fine for these chips, the Preslers are good up to 69c or even higher.....

Don't run your memory 1:1, DDR2 wasn't made for that. Instead, get a healthy devider running to max out your memory
