Hello!

Thread Starter
I want to say hello to everyone and I look forward to learning much. I have been around and working with computers for over 20 years and finally built my first custom system. I got tired of not having the horsepower needed to really enjoy graphic intensive games. My temps are too hot right to OC much at all because I am stock. I am investigating the best liquid solution and find myself drawn to DangerDen, but their prices are high... any help or feedback is greatly appreciated

My system is:

ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe
AMD X2 4600+ 2.4Ghz
2Gb Corsair TWINX3200C2
WD 74GB Raptor HD
Dual eVGA 7800GT OC 256
Thermaltake PurePower 680W PS
Thermaltake Swing Mid-Tower (Sliver)

Also, a quick question. I did quite a bit of research before I purchased the AMD X2 - I almost went with the FX-60 but held off because of the coming AM2 socket change, but find many of you have invested in the Opty line. I haven't seen the big difference except price and the ability in higher lines to do multiple CPUs. Insight / education wanted!

Thanks!

I spent ~$2,200 and ended up with $130.00 back in rebates..
That is going towards my liquid system... I can't wait...

And thanks for the feedback!

Well to overclock your new home at home. As for your question Danger den is the best going as far as water cooling goes. I'm not sure at this point just what you would like to W/C, but if you care to be more to the point I would be more then happy to try and help the best I can at this point and time

At this time, I am looking at the CPU and both GPUs. DangerDen makes a 7800GT SLI dual water block set that got great reviews and load temps at 40c. The A8N32-SLI Deluxe comes with built-on heat pipes for the north and south bridge sets and I am not sure if I am able to mod those right now so I am sticking with the CPU first, then GPUs, and then if I get crazy the bridge sets... I want to get the temps down to at least 48c under load.
