My Logitech G15 is starting to feel its age; the keys feel horrible
It's like typing into rubbery mush. Am agonising over whether to go the cheap route and get an MS Sidewinder X4, pay more than I would like to for a keyboard that isn't completely mechanical in the Corsair K90, or go bananas and order a UK-layout Das keyboard from Germany. The ability to have full n-key rollover with the Das via PS/2 is drawing me to that; but the price is pushing me away...
Anyone with any experience/comments?
Found some interesting quirks in the 'window maximises to one screen' daemon that controls that particular function. It works for Firefox, IE, Thunderbird, Office 2010 (all of it), Notepad++... etc, etc, etc... but doesn't
work for Visual Studio 2010. VS always
maximises across all three monitors - an annoying quirk, but one I can live with.
Also now I've spotted a single pixel line of no-taskbar under the taskbar (presumably a workaround/bodge-fix result of nVidia's taskbar-on-centre-monitor...) it's driving me insane! It's just like a itch you can't reach...
Regardless, overall, I'm happy.
Have also found that, when gaming, 73% fan is not intrusive. But when the temps go up 1*C more and the fan kicks up to 76%... it cuts through everything
. Haven't tried it on 100% yet - if it's anything like my GTX470s were with 100% fan, it'll sound like a leaf-blower on steroids.
No Surround screens of Skyrim - I would, but I really can't be bothered with the 3rd party hack program to get the menu working properly. So I modded the hell out of it and am running it at 1920x1200... with VRAM usage regularly in the 1900MB range...
Also having a blast in Serious Sam HD in Surround. I'd forgotten how punishing that game was on higher difficulties!
