I tried most of them but no luck still the picture in the middle screen to good..

It seems that i have to make my mind and buy new 2 side 1920x1018 monitors..

It appears you only have 2 monitors selected, try selecting the three monitors and see if you can run at 4038x1024

Today I mounted one of my two screens (3rd one is due at the end of the week) and found that its robust and holds the monitor quite well with no play at all. Its really stiff! I was afraid to break my screen while trying to adjust it. Once I get some time, I'll be starting to mod this stand to extend it a bit and fit my three 23s.

Well spotted, try and click the detect button to see if it picks up the 3rd monitor, but I have a feeling that the windows resolution properties is only picking up the two similar monitors or the monitors on only one of the GPU's.

I hope this helps smile.gif

So i make my mind and will go with your advice and buy 2 new monitors with 1920x1080 Resolution.

But i have one thing to confirm before i buy, do you think that the 120Mhz Monitors will make lots of different than the stander Below 100Mhz ONE.

Should i buy above 100Mhz OR Below..

My main use for that surround is Only Gaming..

Please advice..

You should only get 120hz monitors if you plan on going 3D surround either now or in the future (requires the nVidia 3d kit and glasses).

Hz is really just how many images/frames are being displayed every second, so 60hz is displaying 60 images/frames a second.

3D needs 120hz monitors because it works by displaying 2 images one after the other in quick succession, it does this upto 60 times a second for each image hence why it needs 120hz monitors (2x60fps).

The more frames per second makes more smoother viewing and gameplay however the reson most monitors are 60fps is because the average human eye can't notice more 60 frames per second (give or take a few frames depending on the person and eye quality). Over here in the uk TV channels and films only broadcast at 27 frames per second and it's still smooth enough to watch so a 60hz monitor is more than sufficient, maybe 75hz if you really think you may notice a difference.

lol, completely wrong

The average human can see past 200 frames per second. So there goes that argument.

The reason for why movies look smooth is motion blur, which is not in games. Turn your monitor to 30hz and see the torutre.

Not to mention that I see the choppiness of movies and it looks horrible.

Anyhow, the difference is there alright. I would never play fast paced FPS games without my high hz CRT (I usually use 110hz for FPS, 170hz for quake)

Okay that's fine then, I'll hold my hands up and say I didn't have scientific proof that the human eye can only see about 60fps, that was just something I was taught at uni studying games design and that all games designers try to aim for 60fps as it is seen as very smooth and fluid. Especially on consoles, that's why most console games have to be extremely optimised and make graphical sacrifices as the designers are trying to keep a constant 60fps as much as possible for a smooth gaming experience).

The rest of my information provided is true and relevant however.

I'm guessing too some people, as De-Zant proved, 60fps (60hz) just isn't enough. However when I went from my 75hz monitor to my 60hz monitor I didn't notice any slow downs/choppiness, any less enjoyment to my gaming experience or just any difference.

So rubema just take the information me and De-Zant have provided and then decide on your preferences; whether you think you will need, benefit from and can justify the need for more than 60hz; and get the monitors you want biggrin.gif

very nice setup Cacophony but were trying not to fill this tread up with images however we've made this thread available for posting your surround setups and commenting on others smile.gif

However I really like the look of having a 4th monitor above the centre monitor. Can you use that monitor when gaming to get a bit more of a vertical view in the center? I can't see how you could be it would be nice.

I'd probably use that 4th monitor to put my system monitoring programs on to keep an eye on my temps and overclocks while gaming biggrin.gif

That's what I wanted to use the 4th monitor for (monitoring temps, etc.) however I need to purchase an additional single slot cheap gpu for it since nvidia doesn't allow the 4th dvi to be used during nvidia surround.
