Hi guy's,

So 6 days ago I told I would upgrade from my 2x GTX570 1280MB to 2x GTX670 4Gb. So there has been a little change. I went to the store but they didn't have 2 x GTX670 so I have choosen to go for 2 x GTX 680 4GB......

And g*d damn...... they are amazing! No lag at all in BF 3 on Ultra and 2 x msaa....Skyrim look just mind blowing and some other games run like never before. SWEEEETT!!

But there is one problem. I was trying to run 3D Mark 11 but there was a little issue. When I run it on extreme 1920x1080 it looks good, but when I change the resolution to my surround resolution it doesn't display at 3 monitors but only on 1 monitor and it isn't even full screen on one monitor but just one bar in de middle of the screen.

Any one could help me out?

Plus could any one mention me on the first page of this Topic with my GTX 680 in SLI Thanks.

I just sold my GTX 590 and ordered a GTX 680 4GB for $479.99 shipped from NewEgg. I'll eventually pick up another, but I might wait for another sale.

Hopefully, i get three of my 580s today wheee.gif New water blocks shipped so at least I can run triple for now.

Sadly, the EVGA mb is still pleagued with issues. I asked for a new one. As a backup, i ordered a used Sniper.3 Z77 as I asked a few owners and they say its very stable.
post #2007 of 8938
Hey guys. I need a little help with my surround set up. I will post pics when I get home later. I can't get this issue off of my mind. Here are my specs:

CPU= phenom 965 be @ 3.94/ 1.5v under water
FB = 2600
Gpu= gtx670 ftw (stock clocks)
MB = MSI nf980-g65
Ram = 8gb corsair dominator

Here's my issue... When playing games like skyrim, metro 2033, bf3, in surround I am getting major lag when I move my mouse around. I have read all of the post in this forum( maybe not every word, but I have breezed over them all) And don't see someone with the same problem. I am not sure if my CPU is bottlenecking the surround set up or not. If I play the games on one screen in 1920x1080 things seem fine. When I switch to surround it goes horrible again. I have done a fresh install(removing old drivers for both CPU and mouse) to no avail. When I play WoW I don't have the delay in movement. I have reduced the res to 4800x900 in these games with only a very little improvement but still unplayable. I notice on gpu-z that the gpu usage is at 100% but my gpu memory is around 1200-1300. I thought I have all the settings right in the control panel like vsync off and performance monitors set. I am not the most computer savy guy and am looking for any input on this. Please feel free to ask more questions as I will do anything to get my surround working to play games on. It is hard to see all those screens in front of me and I can't play the good stuff on them. If anyone needs CPUs or CPUs validation, please ask if it will help and I will do it and post when I get home from work.

Your cpu and gpu can't handle that resolution. A second 670 will help but your cpu needs to clocked 4.0 or higher. The games you mentioned are very gpu and cpu intensive.

In my rig, two 590s couldn't max out Metro 2033 using a 2700k @ 4.7. I hear Skyrim is also a demanding game.

Honestly, you might want to invest in adding another gpu and a new cpu platform. SB cpu are cheap now that IB has been releases and P67/z68 are plentiful and also cheap. A 2500k and an Asus p67 sli mb will set you ~$200-250.

@wermad pretty much summed it up. But you can always try lowering your game settings and see if that works. I've used two 460's 2GB (Heavily OverClocked) and played all the games you mentioned with med (custom) settings. If you're ok playing games with-out hight/extreme settings, you should be good. Give it a try. thumb.gif

For example my TRI SLI rig only runs Metro 2033 at ~50-70 fps at 5760x1080 depending on the scene and I consider that exceptionally good at a custom graphic setting. I have to run at least a 5.0 ghz clock on my 2600k and it needs every bit of it.

PS. What side of Vegas are you on? I'm in the south, near Green Valley.

/sigh, we need a LAN center here so badly.
