I have sli 670 ftw 2GB. And one 1440p monitor. What would I need to do to play at 1440 x 3? More GTX 670 or new cards?

I.know expectations as well. I'm sure I'm going to turn down settings..

Depends on the games mostly, to run semi smoothly to smoothly, quad, maybe tri sli or crossfire will be needed. I'd just wait for new series to come out though.

You can run with two cards, I do @ 2gb each, 4gb will work a little better but difference is negligible in the long run

Hey all, I have a question regarding surround gaming.

Ok so I have a benq xl2420t, the 3d 120hz one. I was wondering If instead of having to sell that or get two the same, could I add two benq gl2450's to the sides.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-GL2450-inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B005OPLFZ0/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1352419570&sr=8-5

So that would be my current benq 120hz in the middle then those normal 1080p 60hz at either side.
How would that work, would I need some sort of tricky fix or would I just be able to change my current one to 60hz via the nvidia control panel then run it easy as that with the two new ones.

I ask as It would save alot of hassle trying to find a local buyer/pickup for my current monitor and buying two more of these would be far to expensive as they run at £290 each.

I got it to try 3d vision and I really didn't enjoy it so sent the glasses back but now stuck with the monitor.
So that would be three 1080p 24inch same dimensions, but one 120hz and two 60hz.

This would all be running off one gtx 670 asus direct cuII if that's possible?

I was actually going to do this myself. When i did my research I found most people it worked fine and few had problems. I think it depended on the monitors that where used and compatibility issues(dont remember which ones). All you would do is set the middle monitor to 60hz in Nvidia control panel, or just use an HDMI cable and the monitor will automatically revert to 60hz.

what kind of frames do you get on your games? on what settings?

cause if i can get away with just using these two even if i turn down settings, that would be great biggrin.gif

I'll run some numbers quickly when I get back from work today, haven't played anything in a while besides Borderlands 2 a few weeks ago.

Just wanted an opinion guys, currently have a evga 680 sc & finally saw the asus 680 DCII top for sale...wondering if it would be worth it to cop the DCII & sell my SC. Would it be a benefit for surround or should I just wait for the next card releases?
