I know, and it's my fault. I had no idea Vram was such a sensitive topic. I'm going to go back and delete my posts and maybe the others will do the same and we can let it die. I was really just trying to learn more about it and figured the surround thread was the best place to do it.

don't delete. you didn't do anything wrong. and people who come into this thread can see the correct information and the discussion, but the attacking from other members needs to stop towards people, we are all on same team.

Personally I think it's good to here both sides. That's what a good thread is. That way I can hear both sides and form my own opinion with the info given and research.

+1

You only asked but sadly some people didn't do the same. Look on any forum mentioning VRAM and you will get debates far worse than anything said here. I expect a bit of oomph from AMD users but not fellow Nvidia owners.

Thank you for all the info guys, im sorry i started a heated debate.
I however have just decided to keep my 30 inch dell and just throw in another gtx570
Its to $$ to try and get the surround setup atm, I will sit back and wait for it to become more mainstream before I invest into it.
You never know vr could be out by then wink.gif
Thanks again guys

so back off. having 3 or 4 graphics card also means a new mobo and new psu too. sorry for having an opinion?mad.gif
If I can do it with 2 670s I bet 3 580s can as long as they are the 3gb version, at least there are options

Criticizing others is what got you into this. Who cares what ppl put into their build. Ppl decide to make their builds the way the wanted to. I think your rig is not optimal for your three 1440. Do you see me slamming you? No! I was lucky enough to water cool my gpus for very little so it made sense to me w/ this route. Also, smart shopping can get you a nice setup w/out blowing a huge wad of money. This is probably my 16th build w/in the last two-three years.

Stop being critical about ppl's builds and their choices and just help out the thread. If you're here to criticize what others have chosen or what's the best setup, then you just keeping pushing this thread into a sour one. Why not be critical of your build, "be a man" and get three GTX 680 4GB? rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gifrolleyes.gifrolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif

so having an opinion is criticizing? I speak from experience as I am a 1440p user, perhaps you should go back and read instead of trying to jump down my throat for giving you and everyone experience opinion about 1440p surround. What's the point of contributing and providing knowledgable opinions when there are people like you that obviously can't interpret internet chatter correctly and assume it's criticism.

the way you are acting is not necessary or valid, and I would never buy 3 680 4gb, because it's not needed yet for any game out there unless you are bumping out 3d surround. Overkill is fine if that's what you want to do but don't jump on others for difference in opinion. Take a chill
