[Official] nVidia Surround - Page 318

I'm thinking about selling my 2GB GTX 680s for the 4GB editions. In the long run it might be better for surround with higher AA. Or maybe I should see what the Titan has to offer. I don't know I'm unsure. I just know I wanna get rid of the 2GBs.

If you look at the reviews the 4gb cards really dont increase your highest playable settings over the 2gb cards. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/01/14/asus_geforce_gtx_670_directcu_ii_4gb_sli_review/6
I would wait to see what the Titan brings.

yupat 1080 surround 2gb is fine. wait for next gen. as we always say, raw horsepower is more important. unless you run 1440p surround or insane texture mods.

I'm considering doing this. I have a 4GB GTX 680 with plans to SLI soon, but really.. HOW SOON can we CONFIRM that Tesla is coming out this month? So many rumors that GTX 780 Tesla is coming this month, but no news from Nvidia? How far off are the new series, really?

There's quite a following, or so it seems, on OCN.

I've got loads, but it'll have to wait until the weekend.

Someone remind me later in the week - I've got a mind like a sieve at the minute if it's not work related...

Also, preferably not FPS!
Did you enjoy it? Saints Row 3 has to be one of the few games in the last two years that has actually held my attention due to being pretty fun and not taking itself too seriously.

I call Strike Suit Zero, Symphony, Divinity 2 or possibly Lucius. That game has me freaked, but for some reason I still play it occasionally.

absolutely great game imo.

DIshonoured has to be one of the most disappointing games for me for some time... and that's saying something, considering how bad some other games have been recently.

I just found the story monumentally cliche - I could see every twist coming a mile away. I mean, what did the devs do; page through the last century of fantasy/sci-fi novels and go with the plot ideas that occurred most frequently?

It didn't help that the textures sucked too; far away, they looked OK... but some of the textures you see a lot of (Corvo's hands, roof tiles) were abominable.

Basically, Dishonoured is Thief 2 with tons of cliche and some supernatural crutches/cheats in the form of Corvo's powers.

Despite - or perhaps because of - the cliche, playing Dishonoured is quite fun. It's just I look back on the experience and wonder why, when I spent most of the game wondering why I was bothering.

Ultimately, not everyone can like everything, though. wink.gif If everyone liked the same thing... well, we'd all be playing Call of Duty... *shudders*

...I'll stop raining on the parade now. redface.gif

It'll be confirmed when the cards are actually on the shelves. Before that... it's all just drifts in the breeze.

Review sites getting their hands on some would be a good indication, but even that doesn't guarantee that it won't be a paper launch, if they're having yield issues (which if the specs are true, wouldn't be difficult...)

I almost recommended that (AC3) to you first, tell me how you like it because I'm thinking of finally getting it too.

I've not put that much time into it... about 50 hours I think... I usually end up getting distracted and messing around. My last play through was one to try routes I'd not done before, am currently at 96.7% completion or something like that.

I used to 100% games before I'd call them finished. Now I just do the SP campaign and if I enjoyed it, play to do more stuff.

I'm deeply torn about the recent Ubisoft titles - I boycotted Ubi years ago now; don't think I'm quite ready to start buying them again.

Although I saw Far Cry 3 PC for £20 on Amazon yesterday... was very tempted.

there is nothing wrong with win 8 and surround. it's just same issue 7 had for years until nvidia fixed drivers to center taskbar. it's just starts on left screen.
