[Official] nVidia Surround - Page 367

my TF3 448's are hangin' in there for now and since I have made it this far on them I can wait longer.

but I'm thinking I want a 670/680 for my 1080p unit.
then wait for GTX 780 grabbing another 670/680 for SLi Surround.

at least that's what I'm thinking right now.

Check f/s link in sig smile.gif

Dells shipped today (wheee.gif). Should be a short trip (hopefully) from a neighboring state. Crossing fingers they arrive by Friday (along with my 690s biggrin.gif).

dropping some more shots!
Crysis 3 @ 7680x1440 and my sli 670s are crying. Game runs so much better in mp at least. Was getting 35-42 fps during these shots. Low to medium settings but max textures unfortunately when I can run all high in mp with max textures.

I also love how the hud was centered in beta and not centered in release -_-

I've been interested in more resolution options for the longest time. I never liked 16:9 or 16:10 (with the exception of watching 16:9 movies), its too wide for a single screen for me without having enough vertical pixels, and in gaming its like a tease of just not being wide enough if that makes sense.

I've always loved 5:4 and 4:3. I wish 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 monitors were still common, even higher resolutions like 2560x2048 would interest me but most are extremely expensive or old models. Either that or I'd like to start seeing 32-40" 2560xanything monitors with very little input lag, then I might consider a 16:9 o :10 monitor.

I'm rocking 3 1280x1024 monitors now and in surround its the perfect width for me. Its nice working on 3, square displays. Distortion is minimal and it is not too wide like triple 16:9's (where the fisheye effect starts to bug me) and not too narrow like a 16:9.

Its hip to be square(ish).

Another 4:3 surround-er here, 3 1280x1024 monitors. A lot of games don't seem to support it though even if they support 16:9 surround, BL2 being the main one I can think of. Honestly the only reason I'm using these monitors is because I got them free from my mom's work. As soon as I can afford a 2560x1440, these things are going!
