Yeah, those are the ones that I'm using in my Surround array. The ASUS VW266H 25.5" 1920 x 1200 2ms monitors.

I've been wanting something like this. I had submitted a suggestion but I'm pretty sure it was ignored, or never made it past their bottom support tier.

When I switch between surround and non-surround modes I always have to change the order of my screens or go into the desktop resolution and change which displays are active, and which is my primary... Its a huge PITA. I mostly just stay in surround now and turn off a monitor if I don't want to see it on.

Example: If I want my displays to be in surround in 1-2-3 order, then my far left display is the default. I like my center to be default and my right to be my 2nd screen, but if I plug my monitors do do that, then my surround order is 3-1-2. Either way I am stuck re arranging/activating/deactivating screens. Sometimes I wish I had a 4th, but then I'm glad I don't because of how nvidia doesn't 'remember' displays.

I Wish. Going into Surround I have to setup the screens each time. Leaving surround needs a restart half the time. ATM my U2711 is relegated to TV duty.

I gave it another try last night, then quickly remembered why I went back to triple screens. I don't consider myself picky either; I could deal with the fact that it downgraded my middle 1920x1080 monitor to 1024 vertically but there are a couple reasons I just can't use it:

-I really don't like having to set up the screen order every single time, but I understand why it needs to be done.
-Whenever I disable NVS it disables two monitors, and I have to restart before I can even extend my desktop again. I don't understand why I can enable NVS without a restart but it cant revert back unless I do so, but oh well.
-The deal breaker though is that when I expand a window it stretches across all 3 screens. If I want to have a window maximized in each monitor I have to manually resize each window every time I open it. It totally defeats the purpose of having 3 monitors for productivity.

I really wanted to like it too. It's definitely a game changer. Gaming with 3 screens is so awesome, but it kills my desktop experience.

I finally got my replacement hard drive today and did some more dirt 3, I LOVE IT!!! tongue.gif

I also got crysis 3 and bioshock infinite, my brother got me them awhile ago and just waited to surprise me when I got the new drive lol... Meanwhile I entered like 10 giveaways for bioshock because he withheld telling me he got them. I swear, of the maybe 90 games I have on steam, I have payed for maybe 3, I guess I am lucky (he bought all the others) lol tongue.gif

If a game or series goes on sale for 5$ or under, he just buys them and spams them to me...

Yep here in Alaska I get the benefit of using my computer as a heater and I place it directly beneath the window just a small crack and I get nice FREEZING cold air pulled straight into my nzxt 200mm 1300rpm intake fan actually living here is the only thing temporarily keeping me from going all water wink.gif

Ya better change my monitor specs ;( you guys are correct my three main monitors are the Asus 25.5 and top center is a 27` Asus 1080p sorry for the misrepresentation wow thats a long word anyway thanks for all the cool comments on my system preciate it definitely a labor of love

interesting deal with your monitor setup my monitors are three 1920 by 1200 and top center is a 1080p I've never had any issues with that setup other than I never use the top center one i would like to use it in games for maps amo so on so forth when I games it just goes black or holds my screensaver to that monitor

Here ya go like that nzxt 1300rpm so much added one more little much but

It looks like there is a pretty good increase in gaming performance with Win 8 vs 7 at least with a single screen, shown in Linus's review. There is a substantial increase in minimum FPS in many games seen in the review. It looks like i am going to need to re-install my copy of Win 8. I had reverted back to Win7 shortly after 8's launch do to one or two compatibility issues and I found that Win 8 uses more VRAM while gaming compared to Win7 with aero disabled. About 200-300mb less in BF3 mp. Anyone having any current issues with Win 8 and surround with any of the new games?

Here are the reviews.

i'd never go back to 7 lol

windows 8 at least breaks up the monotony of windows since windows 95. if you don't like metro, you don't even have to use it.
