i was debating whether to pick those up or just get the 144hz asus ones.. but im a fan of glossy :\

I could be wrong, but I thought light boost hack only worked on models with 3d vision 2? The monitors I have don't have that on them.

Well I don't have any videos or anything, but I have this pic here:

There's also a window to the left of me and even with the glossy screens it's not an issue. Not much "action" going on though with those mountains;). They don't make the monitors I have anymore. Instead they have moved on to the 144hz versions. You probably want those anyway. Slightly bigger screen, 3D Vision 2/Lightboost, pivot ability etc.

Sweet setup thumb.gif. How does your rig handle Surround? i haven't gotten around to start gaming on mine (lack of time redface.gif).

No kidding you lost quality, you are taking a video three times wider than youtube's maximum, and condensing it down to, at best, a single 1920x1080 video source.

There is bound to be significant reduction in quality, unless you are recording raw footage and cutting it yourself.

To be honest, the file size when I was done cutting it down was 840kb so I blame myself a little also lol...

If you record with DXtory, you can record over multiple drives. Recording 3840x1024 its about 40-80MB/s across 2 drives (20-40MB/s)

I've uploaded some 3840x1024 videos to youtube and you can still view in "Original" which looks nice (one can be found here http://youtu.be/Fs1Q5xMqfn8 which was recorded with Fraps, but 3840x1024 is somewhat manageable), but unless you are running a triplehead setup, a 2560x monitor, or have your hands on a 4k monitor you are never going to see any increase in quality over 1080p. I've had a few people tell me that a video at a triplehead aspect ratio like 15:4 or 48:9 is just too small to be seen when scaled at 1920x1080 monitor. Most of the time I end up cropping to 2560x1024 or 1920x1024 so its close to a manageable resolution and file size.

On the titans, it handles it with ease. Max settings on every game. Metro 2033 at highest settings in surround is a sight to behold. I'd love to get a third Titan to really push me in the 60 + and higher range, but that would require a new motherboard. New motherboard equals a new cpu and it just snowballs tongue.gif

Does anyone get a flicker on their left screen while on desktop in surround? I've just noticed it and am wondering if its just these latest Beta drivers or??
