No one has posted anything about running Metro Last Light yet?!?! WHAT!? lol biggrin.gif But seriously, anyone played it yet? It's preloaded on my SLI 670 rig and I can't wait to check it out. Funny really that I was way more stoked for Metro than Crysis 3 and FarCry 3.... Bioshock Infinite I was pretty stoked fro though... and I still don't have it.
All I can say is Metro definitely made a nice graphic investment over the original, unlike the Crytek release this year. I suppose they have had the time, but to me that means a developer should never settle with producer (aka marketer) release pressure.
I am only 20 or so minutes in, but I am a sucker for this story line. It really is nice to finally be happy that I per-ordered a release, all nostalgia/elementary bias aside.
I just did some quick testing with my 670 SLI i7 920 rig on Metro Last Light (using new 320.14 drivers):
-5960 x 1080
-Very High Quality
-Normal Motion Blur
-SSAA Off (this destroys frame rate on the 670s lol)
-Tess Very High
-Advanced Physx ON
Average FPS: 33
Max FPS: 120
Min FPS: 16
The 670's were running @ 1170/3400 and the i7 @ 4.3Ghz thumb.gif Not to shabby I suppose biggrin.gif. I've decided that I'm probably not going to play anymore new titles until I get my Force1 rig completed though frown.gif. Testing only on the 670 rig lol
I probably will not have time for that yet, but for me it runs like it can take community mod on TRI 580s. I hope these dreams come true with this one. If I have to be constructive, so far it would have to be for the action UI opacity. Oh and potential texture, but that always comes extremely quick with community.
This is a buy guys, for sure.
