now it's time to swap out for my bigger resolution monitors..

If you're brave enough: add one more monitor and go w/ amd for 5x1 eyefinity biggrin.gif

Just got done playing Crysis3 with my new gpu(s). Game play is a lot more consistent but it doesn't feel as top-end as the 690s, sometimes. Well...the 690s were a bit all over the place and Titan provides a tighter experience. I guess it just doesn't have that top end oomph (or gpu power/grunt) of the 690s. My older games love my Titans. Everything is smooth as butter even with vsync on.

got the both N670's @ 1237MHz boost on stock BIOS..

yes I know it doesn't compete with your Titans..

I'm still on stock. Go the the Titan club, and all you'll mostly see is ppl flashing and modding their bios. I can't go that far with a $1k gpu just for 5% more performance. I'll eventually add a mild oc to them and then concentrate on other areas (less expensive) to get more performance. For example, I ordered a new mb and hopefully it will get me to 4.9-5.0+ on my SB (current one isn't having mad.gif).

When i had 670 2gb 4-way SLI I found the scaling to be great in Crysis 3, which was rare for quads. The only problem is i was already hitting the 2gb vram limit with Very high settings and no AA. I had more gpu grunt to be able to increase AA, but was limited in the memory aspect. Even with my friends 4gb 680s the C3 seemed to be limited by the bus bandwidth at our high resolution as AA would introduce less smooth gameplay. OCing the GPUs mem would help some, but still not that butter smooth that i was looking for. Strategic marketing by Nvidia. redface.gif

Titan overclocks are usually pretty high value for the clock. People are seeing a hell of a lot more than 5% out of some OCs.

Especially considering you are talking about taking a 1ghz base card and running it to 1200 in many cases. Mine sadly OCs like crap.

I've yet to push mine but both will boost to 1005 and 1054 (respectively). Might get them to 1100-1150 with some minor oc'ing. I just don't see how endangering your expensive gpu could have benefits flashing them to get to 1200 (or more). That extra 50mhz, or more, is it really worth the risk? I don't know.....

Also, how does that translate to higher fps? Just makes me nervous flashing them. I've done ati/amd which is a breeze and they do offer dual bios. but nvidia......

I might not be in GTX 780 or GTX Titan territory but my N670GTX PE/OC's are pretty sic to me.
both clocked at GTX 680 speeds easy and I came from N560GTX-Ti -448's with 1.25GB VRAM.

kinda liking the idea of 3GB VRAM on the GTX 780 though..
