Has anybody here moved from a 5760x1080 to a 7680x1440 setup and can comment on the move?
I had 23in screen Samsungs and moved first to an IPS Yamakasi QHD setup and since the setup got dismanteled (Family started by poaching two screens during an apartment move) I bought three Qnix PLS panels from Korea.
First word once you go from TN to IPS or PLS... BIG FREAKING DIFFERENCE IN VIEWING ANGLES.
It ain't funny... So much easier on the eyes and not speaking of the quality of the colors.
Resolution also reduces the need for AA and FXAA will be enough for 99% of the games.
The only probelm is... 70% more pixel count = You need 70% more juice.
Had three 7950s powering it up and added a fourth later... Lots of FPS of them but had Driver issues and Displayport Failures so switched to a 690... That failed due to the 2gb on the card makes the games go into slide galore.
Switched to two 680 4gb cards and it went smooth as butter... added a third and I reached a sweet spot.
Now I am itching for the 780s but the 3GB Vram is making me edgy and no way I will buy the titan... Would of have downgraded to 5760x1080 if I ever had a need instead of castrating myself and handing my balls to Nvidia.
