On the 3D debate...
When a 120Hz (properly 120Hz) IPS monitor comes out, I might think about shifting. Until then, I'll stick with accurate colours, thanks.
I've been trying 3D in various guises for years - largely because at one point I had the chance to do stereoscopic modelling of proteins and testing out the various 3D possibilities was part and parcel of that.
They all failed.
Not because they were bad, but because they would give me migraines within a few minutes of starting to use them that would leave me essentially out of action for a couple of days. I guess I'm just not supposed to use 3D on a flat monitor.
If I want 3D, I'll use Real Life (TM). Compare that to 2D Surround, which, if I don't have bezel correction set correctly, makes me feel a little queasy, but it doesn't actually make me need to spend the next 48 hours in bed with the lights off.
2D Surround with bezel correction optimised is a dream, though.
