Good to know, we'll see what happens within the coming months. The more I dwell on it then longer things seem to drag on haha. The impatient side of me (which is a good 85% of me) says to just scrap a surround setup and go with a single monitor display with a 580, but when I think about how amazing things will be with surround I remind myself that good things come to those who wait.

Here's hoping I win that Publishers Clearing House $5,000 dollars a week for life award!

Also, if your a multi-tasker like me, having 3 screens is invaluable!!

Funny you mention that, that's what got me thinking about even doing a mutli monitor setup. I was originally just going to go with two monitors one for the game itself and another for forum lurking, other applications, ect. then I was graced with a few videos of eyefinity/surround setups and it just blew me away.

+1! I don't know how people manage with just a single monitor! lol I know I'll never go back.

Baxter, I would get the rig built with a single 590 and one monitor. Then keep working and saving and buy two more. Definitely worth it in the end. Oh and water cooling in itself is just as much fun as computer building IMO. Worth looking into if you're at all interested. It is a bunch more money though!

Thinking about changing things up and going with three Dell UltraSharp U3011 30" but thats a whole lot of cash, but I think the investment is worth it. Hell I played WoW from christmas 2005 until 2009 on a crappy fat 19" I'm going to spoil myself. Going to just go light first though... single 590 + one monitor like you suggested, and air cooled.. then the other monitors, and finally water cooling.

I've been reading up on some stuff and I was reading a thread about quad sli 590s having microstuttering problems.. though a couple posters on the EVGA forums had conflicting information, does anyone know if this is an issue I should consider?

*Edit* Should mention its a toss up between the dell 30" or the HP ZR30w 30" I could end up saving $639 in the long run going with the HP but at this point I'm not sure if I need the added features the Dell supplies or not.

There does seem to be some stuttering issues kinda with any 4/5 series in sli. It really is hit or miss though whether it happens to you. As far as monitors go might I suggest: thisx3. lol

AFAIK the only 30"er that supports portrait without a monitor arm/stand is the NEC PA301W. So no.
