well, this will make a lot of people angry... So you need a PCI E 3.0 CPU and mobo...

Here's the problem, AMD has been ragging on the proprietery nature of physX for awhile now, I find it hard to believe they would push a new line of software & game engine that is AMD ONRY... Lol, i mean how many people out there are running APU's, bulldozers, & piledrivers.

Let the GPU Wars begin! I'm guessing it will be at least 6 months before we have a clear picture of what Mantle is really about. First implementation is in BF4. A game I wasn't really planning to play, but hey, iv'e always been good @ fragging nubs, maybe i'll have to pre-order now. Especially since it will have native MM support.

Well said, my thoughts exactly. And their sound tech that seems to want to compete with sound cards? Since when do they have sound engineers? Since when did they have the money/workforce? AMD is such a small company

the PCB shots I have seen have markings for the crossfire connectors, they just arent cut into the board, I believe final retail boards will likely have them

by not allowing crossfire on PCI-E 2.0 they are giving ALL of there customers to Intel and that is something AMD doesn't want to do or at least they shouldn't

I'm staying nVidia anyways for the time being and to be honest after the last Radeon experience and my OCD,
I might not go back.

Good thing that I have always be a nVidia fan or I'd be S.O.L....

Full use of an 8-core CPU!!! eek.gif Hell yeah!!!! Now thats what i call multithreaded!!!!! Good for them to push the envelope. This will make Nvidia push their technologies more also. Competition is good. Keep Nvidia on their toes.

It is the glitch driver issue(s) that have kept me away from AMD for years. Their hardware is fine, sometimes better and sometimes not better but they seem to not a handle of their software.

Just give it some time. I hated metro at first (I used Classic Shell instead) but the start screen isn't bad once you're used to it. The metro apps do have a tendency to crash, it works fine for me.
