wermad can you upload a picture of your Portrait Nvidia Surround setup?
Surround is INCREDIBLE!!!
5040x1050 in BadCompany2 is hell of a ride, not to mention everything max out.

i read about that it takes a considerable amount to switch between surround and triple screen desktop. but it only took me less than 60 seconds to switch between to/fro.

the only annoyance i have is that almost every time i have to realign the screen placing, like which screen belongs to where. do you guys have this problem?

*i shall post my gamestation once i manage to get some shots of it*

I just have my desktop extended over the three screens, I use widgets to collect up my start buttons in a small panel and use circledock and another dock(can't remember the name off hand) to keep my icons easily accessible + I used CH's guide to center my icons in the task bar as well!

I'll add you anyway. Welcome.

I just deal with it (the desktop thing) leave it in Surround permanently. I really only use that system for gaming, so I can get away with it; I'm not a fan of maximised windows anyway, so I just locate stuff where I want it and work that way.

If it wasn't for the fact that I doubt I could scrape enough cash up quickly enough - in a semi-permanent state of flux at the minute - I'd ask about taking those GTX580s (although possibly only two) off your hands in exchange for a couple of well-behaved 2GB GTX460s... (and some cash, obviously... )

I actually have my nv:cp set to display surround on all monitors but I then set the 'Windows screen resolution changer' set to 1920x1080 so my desktop only appears on one screen (and I can then use my other screens for the PS3 or TV while using my PC), but this way it still allows me to select multiscreen resolutions in games. So when I put a game on my screens all switch to the pc for surround gaming and when I close the game it goes back to a single screen for the desktop and the other two screens go into idle mode if they cant detect any other operational input.

This works well for me and I don't waste unnecessary power on having 3 screens fully on all the time

Also I'm quite interested in these cards too, my 460's are meeting their match with multi screen gaming on battlefield 3, still get a good 50-70 fps @ 1920x1080 ultra settings though, but that defeats my love of surround gaming object.
