Huge DPC Spikes UD3R Motherboard - Page 2

It doesnt do it all the time but when it does it does it for a while then it goes back to normal. I havent figured out *** is causing it. It will do it in a game or just sitting in windows.

Any suggestions?

Hmm I am running DPC on my rev 1 board with x2 folding and Trillian Pro and music playing and 121 is my max with range of 80

Well I flashed that over.

I am still running around 250 or so and I have had one spike over 30k >.>

i wont know any thing tell I play some games with some major audio or some thing so maybe later today. Any other suggestions?

I have the computer running in Nvidia Surround at 5760x1200 I have 3 26" Monitors plugged in and I also use the 8800GT for my TV some times but its used as Physx mostly.

Software the only thing I can think of is Firefox? Because I checked right after installing my drivers before installing to much (I guess I should have checked before installing those ehh?)

Let me know if I missed some thing?

I think we MIGHT have the issue. I don't think that's a reputable 1250w psu. Gonna look up some reviews.

EDIT: I couldn't find a single one.... I'm even more suspicious of it now.

Nah; you had all right to be suspicious. XION doesn't have many great units. Though 5 of the 7 models are Newegg are good units.

Though there's alot of good units out there you wouldn't expect to see.

Xcilo has CWT PUC & PSH units at Newegg as well.
To put it this way PUC = HX1000, Toughpower 1000w/1200w

XClio model was $160
Corsair Model = $250
Difference? 2 years of warranty (though 3 years is enough in most cases.)

EDIT: TL;DR Odd companies buy/make some good PSUs. You just gotta do some research on them.

Have you tried with an older PCIE card, or even PCI, just to see if your GFX cards are causing it?

I'm positive there are others with your board who aren't experiencing this issue.

What drivers are you using and where are you getting them? Have you checked event viewer for any problems?

I doubt it. It was almost 100F in my room when I took my screen shot and my CPU was touching on 90C.
Nasty power can manifest in tons of ways. Not the least of which is performance issues with various systems that are sensitive to it. Though this is certainly not the case here.
