Just bought a P5P800 SE Need Overclocking HELP!

Thread Starter
Have the pentium 4 630 3.0 ghz processor and have been able to use the "AI" overclocker however I want to use the manual settings. I haven't overclocked a PC since the old days of motherboard jumpers (circa 1998-99) and am fairly new to the whole idea of switching voltage values and such. I have seen a few users on this board through the course of my research running the same board as me overclocked up to 4ghz. Would anyone be able to throw me some values to use?

Right now my system is as follows

Thermaltake Tsunami Case
Reserator1 Plus with GPU, CPU and VGA waterblocks
2 GB Micron PC3200 memory
ATI Radeon X700 Pro 256

I don't think cooling will be much of a problem for me, I just don't want to run the risk of burning out any of my parts. Again, I'm confident in this cooling system...i even have thermaltake memory coolers on my RAM as well as on my Vid Card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated for an old skool OC'er just now catching up with technology....

Check out the guides here on the site, they are really usefull. I'm relativly new to OCing period and they helped me out a decent amount.

Intel OC Guide @overclock.net

Best thing to do is find the FSB setting in BIOS, should be under the Advanced tab, and set it to manual, then you should be able to adjust it by typing in the desired number. Best to start small, usually 5-10Mhz at a time, then boot it, see if it posts and loads windows, test, and then repeat.

There are a few other settings also, like RAM speed, PCI, AGP, and the Vcore of course.......again, the guides are really good, I would read them over and then post with any follow up questions.

Add your systems specs from the "User CP" link so others can see at a glance your system specs and it will help them help you.
