Gateway FX p7803h overheating

Hello guyz. I am sorry if I am posting in a completely wrong section, but I am really tired of searching google and **** and it's like 2:30 AM now, so I am abit pissed and wrestless. All I want to say is that I get really bad overheats with this laptop. I think it happend after I upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista. I am not sure though. Anyway, my temps jump from 65 idle to 107C' when I play good graphics games. I read all around the net about opening the case and applying all these weird type of products and thermals and stuff which I don't really know on the fans or something. So what I want is, sorry if I am being too commanding or something, is someone who could tell me to follow different procedures to maybe clean it or something. I heard about compressing air on the heatsink or something, so if anyone can help me with that that would be great help. Again I am sorry if I sound rude, but I am just really annoyed since I can't play a good game for more than 5 -10 minutes before it starts overheating. Also, there is a BIOS update for Widnows 7 for these P78 series. Do you think I should risk installing it? I am concerned about this because I don't want to mess up anything even more, and I am not sure if it will actually be helpful.

Thanks for reading this.
Thanks for any replies u will give me. Time to sleep.....

There are lots of things you can do to help your laptop run cooler.

Under-volt your CPU, I like RMClock. A properly under-volted laptop will run just as fast, just cooler.

Raise the rear of your laptop. I have these and they work well to allow better airflow and cooling.

Replace the thermal pad on your CPU with thermal paste. This will allow your CPU heatsink to work more efficiently.

Replace your HDD with an SSD. The heat generated from your HDD just gets trapped in the cramped laptop body. You can also consider using a laptop/notebook cooler to reduce the overall system temps.

Take apart your entire laptop and replace the thermal pad on your GPU with thermal paste. This will allow your GPU heatsink to work more efficiently. Be sure to leave the memory thermal pads intact.

Thanks for the reply, Warlord. I guess I should've mentioned that l already have a laptop cooler under my laptop with 2 fans already. But since I still get 107C' with this laptop...I guess the fans of the cooler are really slow. Now i don't know about that funny ball thing, but I am going to try it out with some LEGO Bricks, instead! xD
I believe I've noted that I don't know much about the insides of the laptop...and the whole heatsink thermal pad or thermal paste, or about CPU downclocking. I have opened the back a little and have seen the heatsink....but I don't know what is the thermal pad/paste. Maybe if you could explain a bit more or something? I will try to research on google until then.
Thanks for the information, btw.

Hey buddy,
your problem is actually your cpu. Theres A LOT of dust on it. Just try to open your gateway and get the dust away from your cpu. I know its a though task, but thats the only way to get this laptop cool.

^Thanks dude. I have partially opened my gateway, only one cover, and I can see my ram, a fan, other stuff, my heatsink, and my CPU a little which is under the heatsink. I have already vacuumed from there, took a bit of dist off the fan. Now it takes a little longer to start overheating, but it still overheats. And I also noticed, that there is another Fan I can see through some holes in there. And my laptop gets really hot especially in there. So tommorow, I am going to open a little more of the cover...and start cleaning that side too.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
