Awesome thread, just in the process of testing Accelero S1 rev2 on my GTX460 and was reffered here by Mark (tnx bro!) and i was just wondering what default voltages u guys have on your GTX460's... mine seems a bit high at 1,050V?!

One more thing, im guessing its fairly safe for me to flash Gainward GTX460 GLH bios onto my GS version?

i can confirm what Mark said, all of the G92 coolers should fit GTX460 from Palit/Gainward and i can say that most definately there will be no clearance problems since GTX460 is quite clean around the chip itself!

P.S. what tool do you guys use for backing up your original BIOS and flashing the new one?

I've read though the whole thread and didn't see anyone with an asus directcu 460. What bios would work well with that card and give me voltage control in afterburner if at all possible?

Thanks again NC, got mine at 1.15v since I still have the asus directcu air cooler and the card's running at 910/2100 with another in the mail from newegg... Vantage gets a ~16500 GPU score for anyone thats interested

How To Flash nVidia BIOS [GTX 460 Edition].rar

In honor of NCspecV81 I give a nice little tutorial on how to do this volt unlock.

Download the RAR above, no other files are needed.

Follow the readme on USB Bootable disk, then the readme on flashing BIOS.

You will need winRAR to unpack it, and a USB flashdrive along with a motherboard that can boot up via flashdrive.

Proof that my compiled How To works fully (depending on card)


Final Clocks. I think I was really close to hitting wall on stock cooler.
