Latitude CPx help

Alright, my dad brought home a Dell Latitude CPx from his work (they had it and a CPtv, both which won't boot) and we cannot boot it up. It is the PIII 500 kind, and we have tried switching around the RAM, pulling out the floppy, and my dad went to check to see if it was a CMOS/RAM battery problem. From what he said, it seems as though the CMOS battery is fine. Occasionally the fan will spin up when we push power, but usually it will turn on the power and all three keyboard lights, turn off the left most one, sit for a few seconds, and then turn off.

Ah screw it. My dad and I think that the motherboard is toast. However, investigation seems to say that the motherboard between the CPx and the CPt that we have (not the CPt V at work) are the same. The only difference is the CPU card. We think that we may be able to swap the chips between the two systems.
