How strange temp diffrance

w000t owner of a AMD a64 3200 i oc'd it to 220HT insteead of 200 ..it works faster yes BUTTTT,, the thing is if i oc it with 1HT more to 221 or 222 the temp emediatly breaks it normal 36celcius point to 49, i have normal fans on it any have a cheap idea to cool it better ehm .. and im talking about ,,PC COOLING DOIT UR SELF ..like with stuff i might have at home..i dont have the time rite now to go buy fans or stuff like that...dunnu of u cooling guru's have any idea's


and is that normal? that it skips 10'C from 36 to 49? with only 1 freq

well it depends that could be normal. What could have happend is that as you increased the fsb on the cpu the voltage didnt change as it is set to auto in bios and when you oc it by 1 more the voltage automatically changed causing a rise in temperature although its odd for a jump tht big. If your wanting to cool ur cpu look into the big typhoon or the zalman 9500...

Only thing I could think it could be is that the voltage was on auto and it bumped it up when you went over 220 fsb. Adjust the voltage manually and try it again. The only cooling you could really do without buying stuff is reduce the clutter of your wiring inside the rig. A couple nice 80mm fans will only run you 5-10$ a piece, see if that helps too.
