UP AND RUNNING!!! MUAHAHAHHA

What I plan on getting...
High-Performance Heatsinks

Current Topic For Discussion:

Has anyone overclocked any of the hardware which is in my sig-rig? Any insight? what are you most stable settings? This goes for my CPU, Mobo, RAM, and GPU. Like what are your highest most stable clocks?

As always any insight is fully backed by +rep it saves me time and money when I get you 'gents to butt heads with me on hardware.

AND IT SHALL BE CALLED JOTUNHEIM!!!!
(the custom modded inverted ATX case that this build will rest in)

I am somewhat hesitant to recommend this board as I have no first hand experience with it or its brand, it does seem to give you the most option for upgrade later on.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813153163

Support for both ddr2 and ddr3

Support for your current cpu and the quad am3 later.

I am assuming the 8800 is pci-e.

I am not the biggest fan of jetway boards due to their current cheesy/poor quality control, but the upgrade option for the quad is nice. That is actually how I came into having these parts. (My Buddy just HAD to have the quad and the latest HDxxxx Radeon Card...lol)

The other points this board doesn't meet.
-Clown Car Color Scheme (No Style/Mismatched Color Scheme)
-Not Enough Room for my PCI cards. (It's microATX)

Well removing support for ddr3 (which may not be that big of a deal)

You could look at this board which would let you upgrade to faster ddr2 later along with a quad/hex core later.

It also has a blue/black color scheme and has good oc'ing reviews.

well helllllllooooooooo right on?! yea i missed that one! hmmm so i guess this changes the playing field...ASUS or the MSI board.....forum deja vu...was this posted?

EDIT: I KNEW I SAW IT!

hmm has anyone overclocked with the MSI board then?

ASUS M4A77D vs MSI 785GT-E63

roughly the same board, but different overclocking capabilities. Anyone? I'm leaning toward the ASUS since the MSI only mentions "easy overclock" which usually just means "15% hotter temps at 5% performance gain"

All of my ASUS boards (from socket A on) have overclocked well, excepting one with a funny via chipset.
