Also, that is un-overclocked.
I've heard that an OCed 6800GS (like, 500MHz/1200MHz) can almost match a 7800GT at stock speeds in some benchmarks!!

Just bought the evga 6800GS CO SE - (lots of acronyms, non?) Bought $244 CDN, and I can hit, just barely 6k in 3dmark 05. however, it starts to artifact around this point. That being said, 06 doesn't artifact... So not sure if it's the card, or the drivers, or what. But heavily overclocked Core 500 MEM 1300, stock evga cooling does better then 7600. However, 7600 might OC better. Also, No Unlock Pipes ; is PCI-E version.

In case anyone knows, what are the best / better drivers for 6800 GS?

Might use evga's trade-up feature, anyone OC an evga 7600 yet? Also, Watch Riva Tuner and fan settings, seems to set them manually to 53% across the useage types. Good for noise, bad for heat. Especially in a poorly ventilated system. Myne maxed at 64c before I changed back to 100%. @ 100% dropped to 60c max. While running 3dmark 05. @ 500/1300. Good ventilation and a cold basement help

Use the latest ones always helps. Mine runs at 520/1.21 no artifacts

Strange, I wonder why I am corrupting so low... Bad sample mayhaps. Are you using Stock Cooling? And what version of Dets? I've not found heat to be an issue, so maybe I just have a bad sample. (Like 500/1300 is bad)

Any ideas what might be causing the artifacting in 3dmark 05, but not in 06?

Thanks.
