80c on a 6800gs is going to be not that bad really, get it down a few degrees and youll be ok.

You just might have to back down the mem clock abit, sometimes if its too high the bench will hang because its too high. Put the mem clock down and see if tht helps. First time I used coolbits the frequency it detected was way to high and not 20 secs into it the bench just crashed. Give it a shot, sometimes it just take a whiel to find that perfect balance that your card likes.

asus a8n32-sli *not oced*
evga 7800gt model:517
san deago 4000+ oc with cool and quite 2 around 2.8 avg.
ocz gold 2 gig kit oc 2.5cl @ ddr400
*ALL STOCK COOLING*

My problem is that my 7800gt is overclocking too well and i'm worried.
it's stable at 513 core and 1.21 mem, it hits 60c every now and then but i've heard of these cards reacing 80c. in counter strike source's video test with AA and anti on full my avg. fps is 136. i've run rthdribl and i can't get it to go below 60 fps. i have also run garry's mod (messing with lots of pysics with dynamic lights) for about 5hrs with out it crashing i had a few artifacts (textures not rendering) near the end of that session. i'm going to run 3dmark05 on it as soon as i get my next pay check so i can post those scores as well. i am worried and need to know if this sounds right to anyone?
