^-- I agree. for an i5 build, 4GB of RAM is more than enough.

I just want to add that it will also be more difficult to get your i5 to 4.0GHz with 4 sticks of RAM (8GB).

You'll probably have to crank the IMC (VTT) voltage way up to achieve it, or may not be able to at all. I have read threads of a few people having that problem.

I was going to say this but I didn't know if Intel had the same problem as AMD does when you fill up all the slots.

New RAM.
New Mobo Has a nice rebate which brings it down to about $200.
Since I will probably be heading off to college just after I test and install my water cooling loop, I should have some time to play with voltages and clocks.

I agree to all the response regarding 4gb of ram.

eg. 6gb if i ever go i7 extreme or something higher cpu then just leave it at stock

Thank you for Newegg's amazing shipping speeds. 1 day after charge was applied.

Seeing how I accidentally (Socom) ordered AMD RAM, I may have to trade those for Intel supported if I don't get my proper speeds. In that case, I am going to get 2x4gb so I don't have the OC'ing trouble all of you are talking about.

Need recommendations on dye color. I kinda want to do white. As of right now the only color I have is a red glowing E on my motherboard and my 3 orange fans.

Everything arrived and works perfectly. Took a while to figure out raid since it was our first time messing with it, and I bent a hot swap sata, but other than that its running cool.

Anyone know how to take a Raid 0 array and make a mirror for the data that goes into the Raid 0? Tried to do it but it claimed it was out of space.

Socom and I finished the test loop. Had some problems making the reservoir fit, last pic is a minor case mod we had to do. I am going to saw those off later to make a dedicated 5.25" reservoir bay. No leaks so far, but my reservoir kept falling out of the drive bay, hence why it is sitting on a cup. Dye and clamps come in today. Will be testing the hard ware again to make sure that it all works. On the graphics card, we stripped a screw and had to saw through a piece of the old cooler, which we did not know was aluminum. (It was attached to the back plate.)

sweet build! not to be a jerk...but im not sure if you applied that thermal paste correctly with that X pattern you did..it may affect your temperature...i thought you were suppost to just place a pea sized gob of paste in the middle of the heatsink?
