EK's directions recommended the X pattern I ran out of IC Diamond though before I could get the last line. We messed alignment of the block up (stupid spacers) and it had spread nicely with an exception of one spot which we fixed.

As for OC'ing. I will definatley post them after I have this up and running. I am busy this week so I should have it done by Saturday.

The green dominators were actually for AMD processors. It is suppose to just have an extra profile for AMD's. I have had problems with the clock speed and timings, but it may be vdroop kicking in. Once my rig is back up and running, I will play with it some.

Looks great so far. Subscribed.

Don't mean to pry, but is there any particular reason you got windows 7 ultimate instead of home premium?

Home premium limits RAM to a max of 16gb. Just wanted wiggle room for upgrading. I don't plan on getting the next Windows operating system for this if 7 is running nicely. Also, Newegg had ultimate on sale which was quite nice, so I took the opportunity.

Update: Fan controller, sound card, dye, and clamps are out for delivery. I will post a pic when they arrive.

Tbh, if you could spend over two thousands dollars on a computer, you should have gone with an i7. The total cost of my entire setup, including the monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc., was only $1500. Keep in mind, it is a POS graphics card, but add in $250 and that's still far under your budget. Throw in $400 for watercooling and that's still far under your budget. Getting i5 was a mistake.

I actually was going to go i7 before, but Socom convinced me to go i5 since I probably won't use all the i7 has to offer. I agree though, at the price of this rig it should have been i7. Going i5 saved me about $70 initially and I got a $40 rebate on the motherboard. Either way it is a quad core, which is much better than the pos my laptop has. I also heard that i5's are easier to overclock since they don't have hyper-threading. Don't know if it is a rumor or true. I made a mistake by getting 4x2gb instead of 2x4gb of memory. We will see how it turns out. It's nice having some cash for wiggle room as I may be co-paying (rest will be early b-day present) for a 32" LED TV that I will use as a monitor and TV for my dorm. Also want to get a decent sound system, but I don't know how I am going to mount a 5.1 or 7.1 in my dorm. I just hope I don't regret the decision later on.

Ooh, its a rainy day, I wanna come dye the water I'll pass on the hose clamps though. I agree that consequences will never be the same, after the time I put into that machine.

You wanted to put time into it... After work I am gonna see if I can get the reservoir back up in its proper place without making a mess.

Been a while since an update due to parts being ordered. Here are some recent pics.
First off, here is my new TV/Monitor. It is a 32" Samsung LED (UN32C6500), and it makes EVERYTHING look absolutely amazing.

Here is the case mod I had to do to make my reservoir fit. It hurt me each spark I saw come out... Now I am worried that some of the metal dust may short my mobo/graphics. I had it well covered and vacuumed afterward so it should be fine.

Ok, so I added the T-line I wanted for easy draining and realized that I needed to move my pump to keep the case looking clean. To solve this I moved it to the left side of the case. The dangling tube is from the rad, which will be going to the outlet of the pump, and its going to be shortened a lot.

Today, I will be getting my graphics card backplate (the bend was scaring me, doesn't look bad in the pics, but it was enough to freak me out), and a funnel that SHOULD make it easier to fill my loop without risking my reservoir falling. I will hopefully have a fully running rig by the end of today or tomorrow. There will be no dye in it until Saturday when which I will post photos of it glowing away. My case will be fairly dark until Lamptron decides to finally release their Spectral Bar, then of which I will be adding 2 12" UV's.

Awesome monitor man, got my 32" LG coming on Wed for my main, can't wait to get it going. Is that block on your graphics card weighing it down and causing it to bend? Or is it just me / the picture.
