So 4GHz fully stable. That's pretty good for an 820. I'm unclear here though. You were at 4.0 and prime stable for 10 hours but still had to raise the vcore to run 3DMark 05?

The P5WD2-E Premium is the current Intel King. It is the best possible motherboard for overclocking an Intel system, so you arn't going to be able to do any better on the board side of things.

Yup thats what it did. I was able to bench twice while adjusting the video card, but the 3rd time failed then again and again, I upped the vcore 1 notch and could run no problem, I thought maybe it was ram issues but the only thing that cured the problem was the vcore.

How long have you had yours and how much tweaking, testing have you done?? Please explain to me why you say it is the king, explain why you dont think I could do any better on the board side?

Ive been on mine almost the entire time Ive had it(almost 2 months) and have been in and out of it quite a few times. Although there is a possability that the CPU is the bandit, the voltage drops this thing is having is not running very efficient, therefor making it the bandit. And I dont know about you but that right there IMO is hindering the overclocking and is also hindering the system performance in a stressful enviroment(overclocking, stress testing)

BTW this board has no more overclocking ability then the 955x Premium board or many others.

Thanks, that is good to know as I would not have thought that raising vcore voltage when prime95 stable and a 3D bench/game freeze. I would have immediately moved to trouble-shooting chipset/ram/video card voltages, drivers etc.
