Are you sure I dont need DVI drivers?
I have never heard of DVI drivers. So I don't know.

You have a strange problem indeed!

It is fixed. The Problem? The Video card was not seated in all the way
We had a hell of a time trying to get it to pop in all the way at the DVI Port side by pulling it back at the top and pushing the metal expanson bracket in at the bottom into place on the Cooler Master Stacker 830.

This was noticed when we kept trouble shooting and switching the video cards back and forth and the x700 suddenly did not work. We noticed it was stuck and not seated all the way in. We wiggled it and the metal bracket popped into place. We had a harder time with 7900 GTX becuase it has 2 brackets and is 3x larger than the ATI card.

No we are moving onto installing the X-fi sound card and all the cooling fans. Hopefully everyting goes well and we can get to loading all the updates and drivers soon

Excellent! Glad you got her figured out.

I just wanted to say good luck over there and be careful. I just ETS'd from the 101st. Ariborne Division in August of last year. I was in the 9th. battalion of the 159th Aviation Brigade. They are now sending me to finish my degree. I was over there to initiate the war in 2003 (with the 101st) and was there for a full year. I was a 15U, chinook helicopter crew chief. I have seen all there is to be seen over there and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Right now my old unit is deployed a second time over there.

Stay safe and keep your head down!

By the way, how long have you been there and who are you with?

dear god that was close. I dont think i have ever heard of a fried motherboard out of normal use.
the only things I hear is people spill water on it or poke holes in it, that's when it would stop working.

I had the same video card issue with an ECS K75SA board (socket A) I always had to push the card in so damn hard the board would creak....

I'm back already for almost a month now, forgot to update my profile. I was with II Marine Expeditionary Force 8th Communications Battalion as an augment from 6th Comm... I worked the helpdesk/server room and Tactical Defense Messaging System. It was 7 months long.

Good to hear you made it back devil dog. Do you like that case? I was going to build with a thermaltake case, but I think yours is better. Is it worth the extra $$.

That is one nice system you have. I am almost cloning it.
