I'm going to buy this rig when i have the money(august at the latest).Can anyone think of anything i'm missing(keep in mind it needs to stay under $2000).Thanks

edit: I deleted the processor and mobo links i had because i am not going to buy s940 stuff anymore.this is what i plan to buy(along with the original gfx card(s),etc i was going to buy.

for what purpose are you going to be using this upcoming rig?

that CPU and motherboard are S940, but your Ram isn't ECC. IIRC, S940 needs ECC ram.

I don't know if i'm going to buy this or not i've been thinking i might buy a more mainstream athlon as i will be gaming.But thanks for telling me about that ram problem i like to learn everything i can.
edit:I'l probably be buying a 939 sli chip and a couple 7900gt's

you don't need S940 if you're going to be using it for gaming. stick to S939 or the AM2 that will be released this year.

if you want recommendations, give us a budget and let us know. we can come up with something good.

I'm only getting this too hold me off for the realy powerful stuff next year so i'l probably get 939.

You need to change your first post then, and get rid of the 940 stuff. Why would you buy all this 939 stuff if your going to get the new "more powerful" stuff anyway? Sounds like a waste of money just to hold you over.
