Lol, I'm happy with my single 7900GTX in fact its just ridiculous how fast it is and how smoothly it runs anything and everything fully maxed out. And I plan on using my eVGA step-up to get a G80 when that comes out but that is only for SM4/DX10 support. I don't need any more speed LOL.

And yes Quad SLI will be available to the masses, all you need is a mobo that supports it (Asus A8N32-SLI/P5N32-SLI to name a few) 2 dual 7900s which are basically 2 7900 series cards on one PCB but they are significantly downclocked from the GTX speed, and an SLI bridge and you're set. Although I cant imagine what CPU you'd want to use with that, too bad the quad opteron server boards don't support SLI x16 I mean honestly my Pentium D 930 @ 4.21GHz severely bottlenecks my 7900GTX.

LOL!!!

I'm with ya there... I actually bought two 7900GTX for SLI and one of them was bad, so I am RMA'ing it as we speak. But now that I have had the single 7900GTX in my system for a couple days by itself, I'm starting to consider just asking for a refund for the defective card. It runs every game I have (icluding Fear) in my monitor's native resolution, at the highest in-game video settings with no hitches whatsoever.

But will I really ask for a refund instead of getting that second card...?

Probably not...

Well one thing about Quad-SLi is it supports up to 32xAA, so its not TOTALLY pointless.. just mostly lol. I cant wait to see how the dual cores compare to traditional SLI.

Its still better.. lol. Look at that link. Played Fear at 2560x1600 maxed fine, no low fps at all. And thats with stock everything. Plus the 3dmark scores at such high res's are insane..

As an aside:

Has anyone watched a building in the construction processs. There is usually one person who will stand there and say things like, "That's no good", or "That's not the way to do that".
