The safe considered full load max is @ or below 50°c. A degree or two would not be unusuall. Perhaps better case air flow will get the case cooler and reduce the MB and CPU temps a bit

44-46 idle seems high, considering around 50 is where the cpu should be at load. What did you use for thermal paste/grease?

The full load for a 2.7 with a 4400+ looks about right. It's the MB temp... as you said seems a bit up there... back to case air flow

I used AS5, just put it on last nite, replace my Stock fan and Heatsink w/ Zalman. It seems did not get any cooler with the stock fan at all .

It will take the AS5 some time to cure, then your temps should drop a little. As for the fan, I've never used a Zalman so I don't know how much better than stock it's supposed to be.

Anyone use the thermaltake big typhoon ? is it better than the Zalman 95oo series ?
The Big Typhoon is arguably the best there is, but I don't think many people have even tried the Zalman out so I'm not sure what the truth of it because everyone swears by the BT.

Anyways, I think that your temps are fine for running on an air unit. For example, my processor had the same tempurature at full load when it was at 2.0ghz as it did when I bumped it to 2.4ghz. Your processor is only going to raise a tiny bit each tiny bit you move up in overclocking. I'd give it a try at 2.8ghz and see if your temps go higher than 52C.

look like the temp stable at 48-49 when I ran Prime95 torture test and also playing movie and I've been watching for 1/2 hr. It does go up to 50 for few minutes then back down to 49 C most the time.
with PC idle , temp show around 42-44. Still high ?
