The yellow ViVo connector has nothing to do with the extra pipelines being unlocked. The Vivo models weren't properly laser cut at the factory to destroy the extra 4 pipelines and can be re enabled with a BIOS flash. The nonViVo models were laser cut at the factory. It just happened to work out that way.

i understand that having that plug on your card if your card is the x850 pro means you have a good chance at unlocking those pipes but that was not my question

Hi Trippen Out

1st Im no expert. I understand that the yellow socket on the card (just like the x800) was designed for ready built systems with a front video input/output facility similar to the sound or USB sockets placed for convenience on the front of the case. It is not necessary to connect anything to this internal yellow socket, the primary VIVO socket is on the back of the card (9 pin Din female) and you probably got a connection lead that has one 9 pin male din and terminates with four plugs - two s-video in/out and 2 comp video in/out, with the card that allows you to plug in cams videos etc for input with either of the two signal systems. I hope this is what you were asking about, if not please excuse me. Cheers Hikey.

vivo - video in video out. Its not an svideo socket rather a multi port that handles the main video signal types. The model Name and extns will tell you if it is vivo or video out only.
