Thread Starter
whats the point of having 2 x16 ports on a Motherboard? also when determining a harddrive, should i go with a 7200rpm or spend more money on 10000rpm harddrive?

Should I also wait for conroe to release or going for the x2 3800+ would be good enough?

Two ports are if you have two cards, = alot more money. Sli mobo is only useful to you if you have 2 cards. SATA 7200rpm HD will run you 60$ a 10000rpm raptor 160$ the same size. Unless you have a raid0 setup with two drives you arent going to notice the diff. This just means more money. A nice Western Digital SATA drive will be more than great for gaming and everyday tasks. Your most important parts are the CPU, Vid card and RAM everything else usually just falls in place.
