It might be that the ATI HD 5850/5870's run this game smoother than the 470/480. People who only tried 470/480s might think the game is smooth. However, people that played on a 5850/5870 and then play it on a 470/480 can see the difference.

5870 ran this game smoother than my GTX 480 from my experience.

So according to you is not a driver issue ?

Bradley 470's dont have the power to pull off 32AA. I'll bet it does stutter.

No AA causes far more stuttering than 2AA, 4AA all the way up to 32AA!

Thats crazy isn't it? I'm not saying that because I dont believe you, in fact i do believe you. I'm going to try it with out aa. I've always had aa on.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the bfbc2 patch? What do think Bradley have you tried it with out the patch?

Riou has made a very astute observation. You bring up a good point except for the .jpg of the gpu usage. You can tell it's working like should on my machine. and in Bradley's .jpg it looks like a hair head. Trust me when I say that is some type of latency. I would not call it micro stutter. Micro stutter mostly happens in racing and or flying games. I owned a 9800gx2 and grid.
You can call it micro stutter, close enough IMHO.

No MrRogers Bradley is correct. It's not from overclocking. It's not PSU's or CPU's. Some people like Robiler have it in all games. And his machine is almost identical to mine. Bradley, Robiler has tried everything, it's a fact.
It has to be software, more over drivers.
Drivers can do bad things. 197.07 I burnt a 280, a motherboard, and a Q9650. With in 24 hrs of installing them. All went at the same time. In one tiny puff of smoke.
Bradley your a pillar of patient's. And IMHO a good example for this community. Still we will all be glad when it's fixed.
