Fermi issues: Low GPU Usage and Bad Company II Stuttering - Page 46

But my point is, with ATI, i could use vsync, max settings and even be on 30fps and never get any stuttering what so ever. With nvidia, i need vsync to stop stuttering. With vsync on, i get stuttering below 60fps. That's my point here.

Here's the update I promised.

Going from my Q9550 rig to this one, with the same GTX 480, my framerates have gone from the abysmal 25-40 to 60+ no problem. The Q9550 was at 3.8GHz, and even at a stock 3.06GHz, the i7 950 seems to have no bottleneck. Figures.

I noted that the new drivers have one side effect...

Call of Duty 4 no longer runs properly. I can run for a couple of minutes and then crash with Directx error.

Am sick of nvidia now. They are over the top powerfl, that is great. Sadly they don't run well like the good old nvidia days! Am getting a 6 series card hands down!

I tried the 260.52 drivers last night. GPU utilization was up in BC2 (75-98% on each gpu) and fps went from 70-90fps to 90-120fps. All of the microstuttering was gone in dx11

This is at 1920x1200, 4x AA, 16x AF, HBAO on, everything maxed

This is not what I wanted to hear at all. Maybe I'll just pickup Reach and call it a day.
