J/k... obviously it should with VSYNC.
yeah it is because of VSYNC but stable usage

DX10;

DX11;

What changed from what I said earlier? I have no clue, I was getting pissed and said screw it and watched a movie, came back with one last try. I wanted to try DX10 one more time and see, so I put in DX10 mode, CRASH. I forgot, DX10 or BC2 hates OSD, DX11 sure, DX10 no..

Play for a few on both modes; and I was shocked to see...my usage went up more in DX11, then before. And I changed nothing, no change in OC, no driver change, all I did was change my res from 2048x1152 to 1920x1080 by accident. and right back to 2048x1152.

Played and some how my usage has now increased... For how long, idk.

But now I seem to avg 60-70. dips to 50s.
I'm happier, but this game is still horrible and too many problems.

57-60 fps constant !

i can also confirm that COD4 is running fine for me without crashing.

Mine did too w/ the Q9550 + 260. Since adding the 470, it's dropped. It's funny because w/ the E8400 + 260, I got low usage too.

E8400 + 260

Q9550 + 260

Q9550 + 470
No pic, but it's low.

Apologies if I've posted this before, but the pictures are pretty damning.

I get better and more consistent performance w/ the Q9550 + 260 than when it's paired w/ the 470. Go figure.

Switch to a 5870/5970 and watch it still use 100% GPU usage. Nvidia only wants you to play on an i7 apparently.

Anyone still having low use?

Installed the 260 drivers, only getting 20-40% use at 1440x900 res, 4AF/4AA, all high in BAD COMPANY 2.

Game plays fine, but damn the use is LOW LOW.

Use will go to 99% in kombuster/OCCT though..

Before anyone screams TROLL! I'd like to mention a recent Xbit labs article that showed CPU type/speed means FAR less on the red team. The irony here's that I typically frown on ATI due to driver issues.

Yeah not trolling. I tried my friend's 5870 and got much better fps and 100% usage compared to a single 460. The 5870 is much more powerful yet my system doesn't "bottleneck" it.
My friend's system is even slower than mine with a Q9550 @ 3.2 and he gets better performance with a 5870 100+fps consistently.

ATI is usually pretty decent with single card setups. It's their Xfire that breaks with every new driver update.

I wonder why that is...that ATI doesn't seem to require an i7 to get the most out of it.
