Also, thankyou Failsel11Iraq for your testing and thank you to robilar for helping me get more people aware of the fermi issues.

Its not that I want to go back red, I'm sick of changing sides, but thats just the nature of me and GFX cards. I was gonna put my monies on another 460 and pair it up in SLi with the SLi hack, but that trick is way to unstable and always be a month behind. I don't want to be stuck with 258 when 260 are the ones that count, and that hack only just got working with 258.

My GPU usage does seem to be at 98% now, again, as I said above, I changed nothing to my hardware, not even a PC restart, and it went up. I changed res from 1920x1080 to my default 2048x1152 and that made it go up. Before it was on 1920 by accident, so if a simple res changed it.. oh wow BC2 wow..

So I think we can all come to a understanding, right brad? That right now its a Fermi / Driver / CPU all tied in one kinda issue.

Seems better for some, and for some it seems the fix just bypassed.

No thats not the case at all. Fermi is a high powered GPU. And because of this any thing less that a i7 will bottle neck. Not noticeable in game. When your benching the difference is night and day.
Here is a perfect example. Look at USFORCES score with overcloked Q9650 (bottom) he scored 77fps in haven.

Now look at his score with i7 980x, 95.7 or +18.7 frames per second faster with the i7 upgrade.
Now that is a bottle neck. The 5850 wont even score 20fps with extreme tessellation. And yet it still cost $300USD lol
And yet USFORCES is 20 FPS more. Now for a real laugh. Look at the poor 5970 Qfire. The 5970 is bottlenecked by designed=256 bit memory bus=Min3 fps. This is $700 x2=$1400USD or 4 gpus getting spanked by 2.
Knowing this a head time. Which would you buy?

Comparing tessellation in a benchmark vs normal gameplay that doesn't use tessellation yet isn't right. Maybe 6xxx series will have better tessellation, but what games today use extreme tessellation? They use only minimal amounts such as AvP which only applies it to alien models.

With today's games, a 5870 is much more powerful than a 460, yet a single 460 is "bottlenecked" in the same system? I could understand someone trying to run Tri-SLI 480s in a C2Q being bottlenecked, but a single 460? C'mon...

Well Nvidia told me that was the case. Their drivers cause conflicts if a certain CPU/GPU are used together. EG, i7 920/930 and GTX 470/480.

That statement seems aout right.

This was also brought up when people with AMD CPUs would score lower GPU score in Vantage vs i7s. I saw a big jump in everything going from a Q9550 @ 4.1Ghz to 1 i7 @ 4.2Ghz for my GTX 480? was there a bottleneck? Mmmm not likely but a faster CPU sure helps the fermi cards. I mean I have seen benchamrks with a 980X and wow it makes the i7s look like crap sometimes.

Sadly am still micro stuttering with the settings i asked you to test on. And with vsync off, the micro stuttering is like fallout 3! Yep! It's that bad! I give in. Back to ATI i go. Waiting for the 6 series.
