seeing the new driver fixed everyone else, I feel jealous and mad, WHY ONLY MY GTX480 IS NOT FIXED!!! All other games are running fine with 99% usage e.g. L4D, L4D2, MW2, COD4, I'm gonna go check Medal of Honor Multiplayer now... it's same engine as bc2

did some tests with Medal of Honor MP, apparently my usage is a lot better there, even though unstable but always around 80-100%, way better than bc2's 50-60% I would say...

weird thing is that they both use the same engine but my gpu responds very differently to them...

That is very unusual. My best guess might be that your CPU isn't overclocked very much and your GTX480 is more powerful than a 470 resulting in more of a bottleneck (even though I fully do NOT believe than any modern quad core could bottleneck a Fermi, but still).

Maybe try downclocking your 480 and overclocking your i7 a bit more and see if that helps? Or crank up your IQ settings in the game. Realistically, you should be at 100% usage 24/7 regardless of settings or overclock on your rig, but I suspect nVidia still has plenty of kinks to iron out with this new driver before everyone sees the full benefit.

I tried these drivers out on my roommates 465 when I got home from work. The framerate seems to be more stable, but utilization is still low (65-80%) even at maximum settings in BC2 with a 1055T @ 3.5GHz. I'm tempted to try these on my 470, but I'm finally getting decent utilization in BC2 now with settings maxed out. Seeing 85-95% all day now.

Can someone tell me if this usage is normal for MSI GTS 450 OC, i played some Fallout for a couple of minutes. I bought this card 2-3 weeks now and I'm very dissapointed, i get with it lower FPS than with the 9800gt Is my problem with the gpu usage or is something wrong with the rest of my pc? My brother with i5+5770 gets like 70-80 FPS in Darksiders and I get only 30-40 with E8400+GTS450, and in tense moments it just freezes for a couple of ms or it gets down to 5-10 FPS, this is really dissapointing. Please someone tell me what's wrong I'm going nuts for real, I think I'm going to get the card out and break it in half very soon Sorry for being so dramatic in this post but I'm verry stressed atm. Many people tell me you guys are the best so this is the first and only forum where I came to ask for help. Thanks in advance.

icebird I don't know if it will help any but am hopefull that it might. You have Win7 Ultimate. Is that an oem or retail. The reason I ask is I"m wondering if you have tried Win7 Ultimate x64 to see if it makes a difference. Your GPU has 1GB of ram so right there you are down quite a bit of ram in a x86 platform.
