Maybe try downclocking your 480 and overclocking your i7 a bit more and see if that helps? Or crank up your IQ settings in the game. Realistically, you should be at 100% usage 24/7 regardless of settings or overclock on your rig, but I suspect nVidia still has plenty of kinks to iron out with this new driver before everyone sees the full benefit.
I tried OC my i7 to 3.8ghz, it did give me extra fps, but it's mainly CPU power, no changes in GPU usage.

Yea that is what I anticipated. As I said, any modern quad core (3GHz or better) should not be a limitation to these Fermi's.

It's simply an nVidia driver issue and they need to work out kinks in all sorts of system configurations.

People with overclocked i7's are experiencing the same issues as people with Phenom II's and that's not something nVidia can blame on a CPU bottleneck.

The weirdest thing is that a few weeks ago my usage was all fine with the new 260 drivers, but suddenly one day the usage just went down to 50%... and all my other games stayed fine even Medal of Honor which was made with the same engine as bc2...

set up is
cpu Q9650
ram 4 X 2 gig = TOTAL 8 gig ddr3 1333
win7 64 ultimate

mobo asus p5e3 pro that is a X48 mobo with the latest nvidia beta drivers and it rocks. i have even noticed an increase with crysis as well by a whole 8 frames more per secondnow i am at a constant 22 fps with EVERYTHING on extreem and anti$#%@ on 16 SPELLING*. cod6 has also stabled out at 99fps as well. it used to go between 99 and 82 the whole time. so yeah

260.93 didn't improve GPU usage for my 460s in MP either. Time for a 6870?
Haha! I was coming in here to sp6870am, but you beat me to it!

well not for me

my i7 920 oced to 3.33ghz with all C1 power saving crap and the TurboBoost off, ram oced to 1654mhz and even my GTX470 oced to 700mhz but like you said before its all about how stable and accurate the overclocking is

Faisal I hate you...

Why do the drivers always work for you but not for me

Apparently C2Q and Phenoms might affect Fermi cards dramatically if an i5 750 is comparable to a 9550:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu...0_4.html#sect1

There seems to be more than just raw clock speed that the affects them(600 mhz difference). The i7 architecture really is better.
I'm definitely going to be getting a 980x ASAP.
