Go away troll, but thanks for making this thread

No my fermi's did not run at 35 percent. They were left on auto and seemed to ran at around 60 percent. And am not trolling.

...and run circles around them in all games with probably the same $ forked over. Also, ATI cards have been ugly since the X800 IMO. 9800GX2 takes the all time nasty card cake though.

His comparison is valid. The 460 is no competition for a 5870. A clocked 470 will be nearly 20% quicker than a clocked 460 in some cases. This is based on personal experience w/ these video cards.

Sure a 460's cooler, quieter, and downright fast for the $, but the 5870 and to some extent the 6870's a quicker card wo/ massive temps or power requirements.

That said, I'm sticking w/ the $60 less 460 1GB over the 6870 for the time being. None of them seem to clock very well wo/ excessive volts...and more than likely double the TDP. My 460 runs @ 800 w/ no increase in volts, stays below 65C in games, and fan's left @ auto.

/rant

Although, I did suffer for a couple months w/ a 470/460 that simply refused to play this damn game when friends w/ 5870's gamed their a$$ off...and rubbed it in of course.

But that's ok, it's baby butt smooth now and I don't have to deal w/ the atrocity that is CCC.

Since BC2 Multiplayer seems to be extremely CPU intensive, how much difference do you think there would be between a 920 @ 4.2 vs a 980x @ 4.2?

If the only benefit is in synthetic tests and video encoding, I'll prob just buy a 930 for $200 and wait for the (next Christmas?)8core Sandy Bridge.
