Which CPU Fan

Which fan is better? The Sunon or the Vantec Stealth ? I don't want a loud fan but then again I have a fan controller in case. I am planning to get one of these when ordering my XP90. Please do not recommend any other fans because I have narrowed it down to these two only.

depends, if u want a quieter but lower RPM (warmer)fan go with the vantec, if u want a bit louder but higher RPM (cooler) then go with the Sunon, i would go with the Sunon myself.

Does anyone know how loud (dBA) and how much cfm the stock Intel fan produces (the one that comes with the retail Intel heatsink)?

Ok forget about the Intel fan question. I'm going to buy the XP90 plus one of these fans very soon. Sunon or Vantec?
Sunon all the way my friend. Plus for the CFM, it is almost exactly as quiet as the vantec. So, yeah go for the sunon.

So then it is wise to go with the Sunon then? I just hope it isn't too loud, because the stock Intel fan is driving me nuts!
OK...well if it is quietness you want then go for the vantec. But if you are really annoyed by the fan you can just get a voltage adjuster for the fan and make it faster or slower. And actually I made a mistake, the Sunon is actually quieter per CFM than the vantec. So yeah it would be wise to get it!
I am here to give you the facts and my opinion. With those facts, and opinions you make the decesion.

Sunon for sure. I salvaged one from a four year old comp that had ran 24/7 and it still works great and can really move some air.

Well if the STOCK fan is driving you crazy im not so sure what to say. I couldnt even hear my stock fan at all! Sunon is the way to go, but the XP-90 suggests Panaflo (aka NMB-MAT)

Well my stock heatsink and fan from Intel for my prescott 2.4A, was super load when it ran on high. It was like 4800+rpm and atleast 40dba.

Maybe the heatsink and fans for northwoods aren't built so powerful because they aren't hot SOBs like pressys.
