Brass Bottom Boys - Page 114

Hey guys, I finished writing my first Blog over at tech Reaction last night and submitted it for approval and it was approved some time in the last few hours. Go and check it out over Here and let me know what you think. It's all about my experience with the Asus P6X58D Premium motherboard and Asus' "Premium" Tech support lol. I know that you have all heard this story before but it's in much more detail and I think I did an ok job at it in the end but it does put me in the running for some new gear giveaways at the end of the month and I am now eligible to receive hardware to review =D

Note to self get MSI from now on, I have a friend that bought an 8800 ultra that had to be rma 3 times, the third time they sent back a 280 for his troubles. It's a great replacement and I now have it because he joined the air force.

From all the bad MSI stories I was told by my dad I was avoiding them, now I hear nothing but good things about the new stuff. Sounds like they upped their quality

P.S. I have an Asus P6T with a sketchy sata port. It caused an unrecoverable error in my os drive, come to think of it when I tried to use the intel raid set up page it wouldn't load......

The GT430 Stock 700/1400/800 does 7500PPD will try 825/1650 next lets see all reviews say 800 easy its worth the shot see if i can do at least 8k... And my Kill-a-Watt is showing 47w and 46ºC at stock

PS: folding at 58% 8800PPD 825/1650/900 49ºC 58w

For 68€ is well worth it good boost in PPD for such a low wattage card

I would RMA the board if it's got "ANYTHING" wrong with it but be prepared for an epic adventure ahead of you. I take it that you read my blog about my epic Woes that I have had with Asus then? Go and check it out too CyGnus. I really want to know what you guys think and would encourage some constructive criticism so that I can make my next blog better.

I think I'll wait for my next build so I have a backup if the new parts are bad. Every thing is working and doing what I need it to and all I have to back my sig rig up is a laptop.

As for the blog I can't offer much, I'm a numbers guy and I try to avoid english as a subject

while looking around I found what looks to be a very good overclocking guide http://www.techreaction.net/2010/09/...-buyers-guide/

Nate, you have some general subject/verb agreement issues and some mild grammar ones (mainly commas in the dependent/independent clauses). Not a bad write up. But it could be better. If you want, drop me a PM next time you have an article due and I'll be happy to proof it for you. I'm an English major.

If you look there is a 3 day dry spell, that's what the bigadv flag does. Harder problems but worth huge points

Thank's repo I think that I will do that for sure. I was also thinking of writing it up in microsoft word and then just copy and pasting it to the program that they use. I'm not familiar with it so it was harder for me to get a grasp of but yeah I will for sure have to do that. I'll probably get your email and then email it to you to proof for me as that would be easier than PM it all to you lol. They tend to be pretty long. I think that one was about 1100 words.

Guy's, go over here and check this out. This has to be the most original Idea for a desk ever. And the computer that resides inside of it is one hell of a rig too. I want one to match it to be in my house... the desk and the rig. His water cooling setup must be more than my rig cost all together. That's insane.
