Brass Bottom Boys - Page 171

CyG,

I'm sad to see you go but I totally understand your reasoning. Please get better soon mate. As stated in PM, I'll list you as "retired" and we'll fill your position mate. Get better soon man.

TEAM:
I suppose while we're shifting members around it's time to do other cleaning. I'm going to call AWG down for the count. He hasn't logged in since January. I'm calling him "retired" as well. I don't even know who's filling in for who at this point. I'm going to start cleaning up the OP. Zodac, who is what again? I'm the GTX260, Cait is filling in for wildcard, is Austin still around? Geez, I'm sorry. I'm a horrible cap'n right now.

Ok, found a rep for Cy; mike44njdevils will join the team with his 2500k.

No idea whether he's Folding -bigadv on that or not; that's what teammates are for though.

Enjoy.

I must have gotten a poorly binned CPU, I can only get it to 4.4 ghz so I will NOT be doing -bigadv. SMP it is, sorry mates, and I'll be running 3 GPU's non TC
post #1706 of 11093
Sorry to hear about your accident Cy. I hope your doing ok and get your bills and such under control. Take care.

Repo your not a bad captain, you just got married and have been on your honeymoon, If you knew what was going on with the team your miss's would be quite disappointed with you and so would we! I hope to be the full time i7 folder but I do feel like I'm letting the team down with my little gtx 465 doing the wildcard slot. I will feel better when Laurence get his rig back to stable and can take over again (don't rush it and cause more damage though Laurence!!)

Mike, good to have you on the team! 4.4ghz isn't too bad, we will just call it a handicapable chip. What is your ppd on that bad boy? I want to get another rig but I'm thinking I will wait for the LGA 2011 sockets now that I'm spoiled with my i7 970.

@ 4.4 it's about 14k PPD, cept for the dreaded 607X WU's. When I stop being to gunshy with this chip, I'll try to push it up

"Corsiar A70" is that the bigger H50 WCing unit? Gun-shy, what's that? LOL. Give it the vcore mate! Do the i5's need to be at a certain speed before they big-adv? I'm out of the loop with big-adv stuff on the new chips.

@Cait, thanks gal. I appreciate the kind words. How much PPD are you getting from that 970?

TEAM: I'm off for spring break this week so my PPD will be a bit jumpy. Last night I moved my PC over to the new plasma screen to Netflix it up (watched Short Circuit ). Later this week I'll probably lose some PPD as I OC the new CPU I got. A friend gave me an e6400 (moving up from my e2180) and I want to see how high it will go. Other than that, expect the usual amounts of PPD from me!

the "A70" is comparable to the "H70" in as much as it's the "bigger" of the two air coolers. It's about the size of the V6, and I have some gentle typhoons on it. 4 heatpipes.

I'm not sure at what speed a 2500K can do -bigadv, but I also have 3 GPU's going so I probably wouldn't finish one in time

Ahh gotcha. Air cooler. Ok! I ran a Xiggy S1283 before I went WCing and was really happy with air. With 3 gpu's you're certainly eating into CPU potential. Have you tried setting the CPU client's priority higher that the GPU clients?

Edit: For CyG and others. Here are some pics of the WCed GTX260.
