When the stats update I should have at least 2 units of 92,000 points, three if they update tomorrow. I'm trying to make a comeback from my start of the month to keep us competitive Did you make any headway on folding -bigadv Jessie?

I too have 2 WU's that will be in the update as the WU before these 2 was a EUE and didn't get any points at all for =(' But the 2 I have for this update are for 61,870 and 71,801 respectively so I hope that this will help to get us back on track.

@Jessie, sorry to leave you hanging there buddy. You are fully aware of how loud the Ultra kaze 3k RPM fans are right? Did you buy a shroud for them yet? If not then Here is the link to the shroud that I was talking about. Also I know it's a little late but Here is the link for the San Aces (which are almost always sold out) I was talking about in case you decide to return the fans and get these as they are just as effective (if not better) and are much much quieter than the Ultra Kaze's are. You could also look into getting some gently typhoons which are reportedly pretty good. What you are looking for in a fan for a push/pull config (or for a radiator of any type) is a fan with high CFM, High Static Pressure (The higher the better as the static pressure is what helps the air move through the fins in the radiator), and low noise (unless the noise doesn't really bother you). If you are ok with the noise then I suggest you keep the Ultra Kaze's and just get a fan controller so that you can better control them to optimally cool your CPU. Make sure you get one that has the ability to send a signal back to the motherboard so that you don't run into any issues there. I will PM you later or post here later with a list of a few fan controllers that are good. Try and stay away from the more flashy awesome looking ones because 9/10 they just look cool and are actually crappy as a fan controller. Lets keep up the good work on the folding guys. Oh and one last thing, so we are "allowed" to switch to the new v7 client? Is there any reason that I would actually want to do that? I think that ,since I don't have a steady internet connection, I would actually benefit from being able to download a new WU before I am done with the current one but that might not be the case. Please let me know if I should bother with this or just wait until I bring my computer down to change out parts to do it.

Speaking of changing parts, I heard from the IRS today and I will be receiving my tax refund no later than I believe the 24th of May which is good news for me as I got mine last year mid way through July lol. Hopefully I will be able to at least get a 970 as I think having 2 hexacore CPU's (Intel Hexacores, no offense Jessie =D) on this team would give us the edge that we need. I'll also be getting a 1200w PSU and a second GTX 480. So hopefully my whole new setup will give me just enough power to get all my parts folding at once. I will also still have this semi-functional i7-930 and a second Asus P6X58D Premium motherboard that I can build a second folding rig with as soon as I get a second case, another HDD, another windows disc, and a few other cheap parts. Then I could kill it at folding =D. I would almost be able to break 100k PPD with all of that as long as I had a nice GPU to fold with in there. But enough dreaming for me. I think I have bored all of you with my novel for long enough. Talk to you all later.

well i have a NZXT LXE Sentry fan controller on rma right now, so thats what I will be using to control case fans. I am still going to leave the scythe contolled by the MB but the fan that came with the cooler is going to be controlled by the controller. The sound doesn't really bother me, so I'm not worried about that but I just want your opinion on this cooler. Should i have it pulling air through it into the case, or have it blowing air out of the case? Sucking air in will increase the temps in my case of all the components I have, but blowing air out will take the somewhat warmer air from inside (even though i have a 230 mm fan on the side that can provide airflow). Any ideas?

Well my suggestion is for you to get at least 1 of the shrouds that I suggested (Preferably 2 as a buddy and me did some testing and found that having a shroud on both the push and pull sides lowers temps by a few degrees c) and have them be intakes from outside of the case. The reasoning behind this is that Corsair designed this cooler with having it as an intake in mind. Also, you have a Cooler Master HAF 932 which is a phenomenal case that will take care of itself cooling wise. If you have the standard HAF 932 (with the ability to have 4 X 120mm fans on the door) then I would suggest that you put 4 X 120mm fans there instead of the 230mm fan. This will help with ensuring that you have positive pressure inside your case which will help lower temps inside the case by effectively pushing all of the hot air out through the exhaust instead of relying on the exhaust fans to suck the air out. I suggest you get some Yate Loon High Speed fans (they sell them at Performance-PCs.com in red, green, and blue to which there are links here ==>) Yate Loon Red, Yate Loon Green, and Yate Loon Blue all of which are 88 CFM, 40 DB's, and 2200 RPM's. I have a HAF X with a HAF 932 door on it and I have 4 of the Red Yate loons in it and not only does it give it a cool red glow but it makes a huge difference in cooling my CPU and GPU's. The addition of the 4 fans has shifted the positive pressure even more into the positive side by an additional 352 CFM combined. That helps minimize dust inside my case because the dust cannot settle. I also changed my rear 140mm fan to a Red LED Yate Loon which has 140 CFM, 48.5 DB's and 2000 RPM's. You might even try turning your 140mm rear exhaust to an intake and see how your temps react to that. Every computers air flow is going to be different because of the differences in hardware inside. So you'll have to mess around with your fans to see which configuration gives you the best results. I am happy (and willing) to give you assistance anyway that you need it. Just let me know. I am going to PM you here after this message. Talk to you later guys.
